Did a wordcloud1 of my articles from last year. It seems quite reasonable. Electrode is the biggest word with sample, surface, figure and other general “experimental” nouns also high on the list. We can see verbs like used, using, can, and so on that are also very generic.
Would it be possible to guess the research topics without knowing them?There are also many specific terms like pencil, corrosion, SECM, viruses, ion, flow… that gives more hints to the topic of the papers. But since I was involved in both electrochemistry and some of my wife’s research topics in plasmonics and virus-detection, it might be a little difficult.
